Goals are great, big goals are better.

Unfortunately, sometimes we stop short of dreaming too big.

We think that greatness is meant for others, but not us.

That doesn’t have to be the case.

Don’t be afraid to think big, to imagine big, to dream big, because in doing so, you give yourself the opportunity to achieve big things.

David J Schwartz once said, “Think little goals and expect little achievements. Think big goals and win big success.”

The problem with small goals, is that if that’s all you have, then that’s the most that you can expect to achieve.

I’m guessing that if your favourite sporting team aimed to be average, that not only would they end up somewhere need the bottom, but you’d start thinking about supporting someone else.

Let’s face it, if you’re not going to aim high, then you’re not going to try.  If you’re not going to try, you’re not going to achieve anything.  If you’re not going to achieve anything, then what’s the point?

If you set the bar too low, where you don’t need to try to reach your goals, then you’re not going to get much done.

However, when you look up and set your sights high, you can start to move towards greatness.

Ambitious goals when coupled with effective action plans have a tendency to pull us forward, giving us the capacity to do more than we would have thought was possible.

Sometimes, we reach too high and don’t quite hit the target that we set, but even then you’ve most likely achieved more than if you had just set insignificant goals that didn’t require effort or imagination.

There’s a need for big goals.

Your ability to achieve great things depends on it.

We need you to set big goals.

The world is a better place when you’re making a meaningful contribution.
