I’ve seen this story a few times over the past week and wanted to share it with you.

An old Cherokee took his grandson aside and told him, “My son, there’s a battle between two wolves inside us all.  One represents anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, dishonesty and selfishness. The other one represents joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, compassion and truth.”

The boy gave this some thought and eventually asked, “Which one wins?”

“The one you feed.” responded the wise old Cherokee.

This internal battle is one that we all face and it’s important that we take responsibility for feeding the right one.

As I read this story, I was reminded of Philippians 4:8 which says, “Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.”

It’s a great principle and hopefully a helpful reminder to us all.
