When you walk into a room:
- Is the atmosphere more positive?
- Is the mood lighter and brighter?
- Are people genuinely glad to see you because of the value you add?
- Do you bring energy with you?
- Do people look to you as a friend who can be trusted?
- Do you influence others rather than have them influence you?
- Do you raise the tone of the conversation?
Do you know the answers to these questions?
Do you care?
Can you do something about it?
Making a deliberate focus on improving in one or more of these categories can make a significant difference to how you are viewed and the level of influence you have.
Change the world, one room at a time.

Okay, coach, here goes with my answers”:
Q.1-4: YES, and they usually think I bring TOO much energy!
Q.5-7: YES, and they resent me sometimes for improving their tone away from their cherished gossip and treasured, carefully guarded prejudices!
In these situations, I am working on “a soft answer (with a little chuckle) turneth away wrath.” Please write about how to FIT IN, not FIGHT IN (in my case, JUMP IN WHOOPING AND SPLASHING!)

Thanks granbee, in my opinion too much energy is never enough, but we can’t please everyone.
Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll try to come up with something for you.

Honestly, Coach D . . .I’m still learning about this. I don’t get to socialize much, being a caregiver. But I have a few people in my life that I do get to see and can put this into practice with. 🙂
