I’ve met a lot of people over the years who are yet to start taking action on their goals.

And I’ve been reminded again recently that life is very short.  Too short to let a day go to waste.

I don’t know what your situation is or what your aspirations for life are, but if you’re sitting around allowing life to float by, I have a question for you today.

What are you waiting for?

Are you waiting for permission to start?

You don’t need it, just get started.

Are you waiting for the right circumstances to arrive?

They may never come, you just need to take action.

Are you waiting until you have the energy?

Let doing the work give you the energy that you need.

Are you waiting for a sign from God?

He doesn’t often work like that and you could be waiting for a long time.  I love God’s message to Abraham in Genesis 12:1, “…Go to the land I will show you.”  God didn’t give him all of the details, just told him to get started and promised to guide him as he traveled.

Are you waiting to build up your courage so that you can overcome your fear?

Again this will never happen by itself.  Your courage builds as you achieve small milestones, giving you the capacity to take on larger tasks in the future.

Are you waiting for a green light?

For successful people, the light’s always green.

Are you waiting until it’s safe to start?

People who make an impact on the world understand that it’s riskier to play it safe than it is to take what others would consider to be risks.

Are you waiting until everyone else agrees with your aspirations?

Chances are, if you’re dreaming big enough, there will always be critics who disagree with you.  Don’t let them hold you back from greatness.

I don’t know your situation, but I do know that sitting around won’t get you closer to your goals, but taking immediate action will.

Life is fleeting and we only get one shot at it, so let’s not waste another moment, let’s make progress today.

What are you waiting for?
