If you watch the news, the world seems like a scary place.

I wouldn’t recommend a holiday in Iraq, Syria or Afghanistan at the moment and Somalia may not be a good idea either.

There are also a few beautiful countries in western Africa that it would be wise to avoid until the Ebola situation is resolved.

It’s easy to focus on the conflicts, the economic turmoil and the religious fanatics and end up feeling like you should never leave the house.

But the world is also a magnificent place full of wonderful people.

There are beautiful man-made destinations such as Santorini, Venice, the Taj Mahal and Machu Picchu.

It’s also where you’ll find the grandeur of nature on full display with Uluru, the great barrier reef, the Himalayan mountain range and pretty much all of Iceland.

And for every lunatic shaking his fist at the sky, you will find 10 people who are generous, kind and willing to encourage you on your journey.

So let me ask you, do you live in the scary world?

The one that gives you multiple reasons to live in fear and limits your capacity to maximise your potential?

Or do you live in the magnificent world?

The one where opportunities are endless, God is on your side and love is real?
