Just because everyone else complains a lot, it doesn’t mean that you have to.

Just because no-one else is pulling their weight, it doesn’t excuse you from maximising your performance.

Just because everyone else goes over the speed limit or cheats on their taxes, it doesn’t give you permission to do the same.

Just because everyone else is self-absorbed, it doesn’t mean that you can’t be sensitive and responsive to the needs of others.

Just because the people around you are floating through life, it doesn’t mean that you can’t aspire to something greater.

You can look all around you for cues on how to behave, or you can look within, knowing that your values and principles are not dependent on the people in your vicinity.

You’re not a zebra, you’re a lion.

You don’t have to follow the crowd, you can take charge of your own thoughts and actions.
