There are two important steps to take before you try to shoot an apple off someone’s head.

Firstly, you need to practice relentlessly.

You need to master your craft and give yourself the confidence that you can hit that small target under pressure.

Secondly, you need to build a reputation that you can do it, so that someone will trust your skills and put that apple on their head without flinching.

I don’t know what you want to do with your life.

But if you don’t have the patience and discipline required to develop your skills to an elite level and then build a reputation that enables others to give you the opportunity to apply these skills, you will never get a chance to shoot that apple.

Greatness awaits.

But practice and reputation comes first.
