The first draft is rarely very good.
It’s riddled with spelling errors and the characters aren’t well defined.
It’s jumbled and messy and you would never show it to anyone.
But it’s still necessary.
You need the first draft so that you have something to edit.
You can change that word, move the order around, cut out that entire section.
Sometimes, we are hesitant to act as we are scared of the imperfections.
But these imperfections give us something to work with.
Something to improve.
And eventually, something to show the world.
So, get that first draft out of the way.
And then get the red pen out and make it better.
