Throughout the day we receive impulses to do certain things.
We act on some and we ignore others.
We also feel guilty about some that we act on and some that we ignore, so what do we do?
When you see someone in need of a smile… act.
When someone says something rude or offensive… ignore.
When you feel the need to call a friend or relative and say hello… act.
When someone cuts in front of you in traffic… ignore.
When morale is down around you and optimism is required… act.
When someone pushes your buttons… ignore.
When you have an idea that could make things better… act.
When you feel like giving up… ignore.
When someone needs encouragement or a boost in confidence… act.
When you feel like making it all about you… ignore.
If we get this right, we’ll feel so much better about ourselves and increase our opportunity to be successful.
What do you need to act on?
And what should you ignore?

Instead of an “Easy” button from the office supply store, we need an “Act/Ignore” switch on our desk to remind us of this. I’ve been enjoying your blog.

The impulse to encourage . . .act.
The temptation to tear down . . .ignore.
Thank you for these powerful, doable tips!
