Today, I want to encourage you to have the right amount of dissatisfaction.

Nothing too dramatic so that you are constantly depressed or surly with the world.

Not dissatisfaction with everyone else, whilst you sit back smugly and think that you’ve got it all together.

And not so comfortable with everything that you don’t want to change or make things better.

Just the right amount of dissatisfaction so that you are compelled to keep learning and striving.

One morning, I woke up and heard the most beautiful music.

It had a lovely, happy melody and got me moving joyfully from the moment my feet touched the floor.

It was a great day and I tackled every challenge with a skip in my step and great enthusiasm.

You can recover from the embarrassment.

You can shrug your shoulders and realise that it wasn’t the end of the world.

I walked past our local florist over the weekend and noticed the lady who ran the store working feverishly getting everything organised for the day.

As a middle-aged male, I’ve never really understood florists.  They seem to just sell over-priced plants that die in a few days.

And don’t get me started on getting up at 3am to buy fresh stock from the local flower markets.

Really, what’s the point?
